IoT-based Remote Monitoring

Development of a monitoring system based on IoT systems (2017-2018)

Role: Architect solution engineer/developer Company: Edocere –Walmart Chile (2017-2018) (15k USD)

This project aims to develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring solution for two critical areas: industrial freezer units and server rooms. By leveraging advanced sensor technology and data analytics, we seek to enhance operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and prevent equipment failures.

Key Components:

Freezer Monitoring System:

Real-time temperature and humidity tracking Door status sensors for security and efficiency Automated alerts for out-of-range conditions

Server Room Environmental Control:

Precision current consumption measurement High-accuracy temperature and humidity monitoring Early warning system for environmental anomalies

Technical Approach:

Deploy a network of IoT sensors across both environments Develop a centralized data collection and processing platform Create an intuitive dashboard for real-time monitoring and historical data analysis Implement machine learning algorithms for predictive maintenance

Expected Outcomes:

Improved energy efficiency and reduced operational costs Enhanced equipment longevity through optimized environmental control Increased compliance with storage and equipment specifications Data-driven decision-making capabilities for facility management

This integrated system will provide facility managers with unprecedented insight into their critical infrastructure, enabling proactive management and ensuring optimal performance of both freezer units and server rooms
